Printing
How do I print my card at home?
After checkout you’ll get an instant download link (also sent by email). Open the A4 fold-and-print PDF, set scale to 100% / Actual size, choose double-sided, flip on short edge, then print and fold in half. No duplex printer? Print page one, put the sheet back in the tray, then print page two – try it on plain paper first. The whole thing takes about five minutes.
What paper should I use?
For a proper shop-card feel, use smooth white or cream card between 160gsm and 250gsm – check your printer’s manual for the heaviest it takes (many home inkjets are happiest around 200gsm). Matte card gives the richest colours. Standard 80–100gsm printer paper works fine in a pinch.
What size is the finished card, and what envelope do I need?
Cards fold to A5 (148 × 210mm). They fit a C5 envelope (162 × 229mm). You also get a separate A5 PDF of the front and inside if you’d rather print on pre-cut A5 card.
I don’t have a printer. What can I do?
Email the PDF to any high-street print shop, supermarket photo counter or local library – most can print on card while you wait. Or, quickest of all, send a free e-card instead.
The colours look different from the screen. Is that normal?
A little, yes – screens glow, paper doesn’t. For the best result choose “best” or “high” quality in your print settings, use matte card, and make sure your ink isn’t running low.
Downloads & refunds
Will anything arrive in the post?
No – our cards and printables are digital downloads. Nothing is posted, which is why they’re ready in minutes and cost £2.99 rather than a fiver.
Can I get a refund on a digital download?
Because digital files are delivered instantly, the usual 14-day right to cancel no longer applies once you’ve started downloading them. That doesn’t affect your statutory rights: if a file is faulty, won’t open or isn’t as described, contact us and we’ll fix it, replace it or refund you. Bought the wrong card by mistake? Tell us quickly and we’ll always try to help.
I’ve lost my download link.
Check your inbox (and spam folder) for your order confirmation email, which contains your download link. Still stuck? Message us with your order number and we’ll resend it.
E-cards
Are the e-cards really free? How do they work?
Yes, completely free. Go to Send a free e-card, choose a design, write your message and share the link by WhatsApp, text, email or any app. Your message lives inside the link itself, so we don’t store it. No sign-up needed for you or the person receiving it.
Licensing
Can I print more than one copy, or sell the designs?
Personal use licence: print as many copies as you like for your own family, friends and events — one download covers the whole street. Not for resale, sharing the file, or commercial use.
The one exception is our Christmas watercolour clipart set, which comes with its own small-business commercial licence (details on the product page and in the included licence.txt).
